Covid-19 Policies

I am excited to be back to practice and helping fully vaccinated clients get back on track with their wellness routines.

 

Before we do that, though, I ask that you carefully read my new Covid-19 office policies. 

I have created these policies to ensure as safe a massage environment as possible for EVERY client as part of my commitment to provide an elevated standard of care.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT

First order of business: MASKS

In accordance with CDC guidelines, clients who are fully vaccinated and can provide proof of vaccination have the option not to wear masks during their sessions. Masks must be worn by all clients coming to and leaving their appointments and may be removed once inside my treatment room. Clients who are vaccinated but have not provided proof of vaccination will still be required to wear a mask at all times.--THIS  IS NOT NEGOTIABLE 

I will continue to wear a mask for the duration of the appointment due to the inability to physically distance while providing massage.  

Clients may wear a homemade cloth mask provided it fits properly. This means that there are no gaps on the sides or above the nose or below the chin. Masks must cover both the nose and the mouth at all times. If you do not have a properly fitted mask, I will be happy to provide you with a clean surgical mask. 

SCHEDULING POLICY -

** Travel quarantine requirements: If  you are fully vaccinated and have provided proof of vaccination, you do not need to quarantine if traveling within the US before booking an appointment. If you are not vaccinated, travelled internationally or on a cruise ship regardless of vaccination status, you must quarantine for 10 days prior to making an appointment. 

Sessions booked online must be reserved with a valid credit card. If you are paying with a gift certificate, you must still reserve your appointment with a credit card. Your card will not be charged at that time and you can present the gift certificate as payment at the end of the session.

New clients or returning clients that have not had a massage at Knead to Run in the last 3 months must complete a health intake form which will be attached to your booking confirmation email. You will be asked the covid pre-screening questions before EVERY massage. If you do not complete the required forms, your session will have to be rescheduled. 

ARRIVAL POLICY -

The waiting area is once again open. Upon arriving for your appointment, please have a seat and I will come out to greet. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment so that you can enjoy the full time of your session. 

We ask that you wash your hands upon entering the building and before entering the treatment room. 

Cancellation Policy - If you cannot keep your appointment, I require 24 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, full payment of the session is required and will be billed to the credit card on file or via invoice which must be paid prior to rescheduling. SESSION POLICY -

The most important thing is that you arrive on time or 5 minutes early. This will allow you to mentally prepare for your session, take a breath and enjoy our time together. Please be aware of high traffic times and plan accordingly. 

Upon arriving you will be asked to wash your hands before entering the treatment room. If you arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your sesion, feel free to use the restroom to do so before I come out to greet you.

If you are a new client, please make sure to complete the new client paperwork that comes in your appointment confirmation email prior to your session. If it is not completed prior to your appointment, your appointment will be rescheduled. If you do not receive it, please email me at sara@kneadtorunmassage.com and I will send it to you. 

PAYMENT/RESCHEDULING  POLICY- It is preferred that you pre-pay for your appointment upon booking, however, if you choose to pay at time of service, a credit or debit card is preferred. Payment by cash or check will still be accepted.

 

Rebooking will be done in the treatment room prior to leaving the collective.  

POST SESSION FOLLOW UP POLICY- I will contact you a week after your appointment to see how you're feeling after your massage and check in on your overall health. Please call me if you develop symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days of your appointment.

COVID-19 EXPOSURE ACTION POLICY - In the event I suspect I have been exposed to Covid-19, I will cancel all appointments and self-isolate until I can obtain testing and confirm a negative diagnosis. 

In the event a client calls to inform me they have tested positive within 14 days of their massage session, I will contact all clients from that time period and self isolate until I can obtain testing and confirm a negative diagnosis. 

In the event I test positive for Covid-19, I will inform all clients from the previous 14 days, immediately cancel all appointments and self isolate until I am cleared of infection.

ADDITIONAL COVID-19 PROCEDURES

Knead to Run is now located at 408 Lafayette Rd in Hampton, inside Seacoast Health Collaborative. While the Collaborative is shared by several different wellness businesses throughout the day, I have my own dedicated treatment room that is not shared with others.

The waiting room is now open, however, all clients regardless of vaccination status must wear masks while in the waiting area. 

DISINFECTION AND SANITATION POLICY-

In addition to thoroughly cleaning all surfaces in the treatment room, a separate disinfection protocol using EPA registered disinfectants listed on List N for all surfaces that clients come in contact with inside the treatment room. Additionally, any high touch surfaces in the common areas and the bathroom such as light switches, faucets, and door handles will also be disinfected between my clients. 

A freshly cleaned and disinfected oil/lotion bottle will be used between each client.

Any and all tools used in a massage will be soaked in warm soapy water, dried thoroughly then sprayed with disinfectant.

LAUNDRY MANAGEMENT  POLICY- 

Used linens will be carefully put into a clean laundry bag and put in a lidded laundry basket for laundering. All laundry will be cleaned in hot water and dried fully. Separate, dedicated plastic bins will be used for clean and dirty laundry. Clean linens being removed from the dryer will be held in a plastic bin marked CLEAN LAUNDRY ONLY. 

PRACTITIONER HYGIENE POLICY - 

I will be following CDC handwashing protocols including washing up to my elbows and scrubbing my nails with a nail brush before and after each session. My nails will remain trimmed and short as always.

I will wear an N95 mask and change it between every client. A clean oil holster will be used for every client.
